Who are Brabstown

We are based in Pine Island, in southern part of the Orange County, New York, in the so called Black Dirt Region, renowned for some of the most fertile soil in the world. Black Dirt Region gets its name from its deep layer of fertile black soil and it’s home to hundreds of farms growing onions and other vegetables and cannabis of course.

Soil Management

The black dirt in Pine Island is known for its rich organic matter content. Sustainable flower farmers focus on maintaining soil fertility and structure through practices such as cover cropping, crop rotation, and compost application. These methods help to retain moisture, prevent erosion, and promote beneficial soil microorganisms.
